An artist from a small town in eastern Washington

It’s no easy task, creating art on a budget, having limited resources and starting a business with no money to my name. Yet, I am still loving this journey I’ve put myself on. I am so excited to be here and to be learning what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur while also trying to raise a family.

I am grateful for every opportunity I have, and want to share my work with the world.

I believe that art is powerful tool for personal expression, self-awareness and creativity. Art can help us connect with others, make us feel good about ourselves and inspire us to do great things. I believe that color is a language and that each of our lives has its own unique story to tell.

Watercolor Paintings & Pencil Drawings

This project consists of pieces from the past few years that I am the most proud of. They are not at all perfect, and some are —at least what I would personally call “bad”. Which is the reason I hold them in such high regard. They not only show my mistakes, and lack of natural skill, but they show what strengths of mine did come naturally and how much I’ve grown and improved. Each one was created during the time when I started really taking art seriously and began experimenting with new mediums —like watercolor— and it has taken a lot of practice to come as far as I have. I hope you enjoy viewing this part of my journey, as much as I enjoyed making them.

Mood Swings

A series of colorfully painted, angsty teenage girls showcasing a variety of different expressions and styles

While most of these are included in the previously published project above, I feel they deserve a place in a series of their own. I suppose practicing in this style of painting was how I really found my own style and learned how to work with colors in a really beautiful way. I’m a sucker for bursts of color amidst a lot of darkness.
